How to order photographs

High quality digital copies of any of the photographic images within this web site are available free of charge.

To make use of this free service please use the “Request an image of this monument” button that is displayed on the grave monument detail page. To see a grave monument detail page just press the grave number link that is displayed on the right hand side of any page that displays name information.

Because the Gravestone photographic resource project is run on a voluntary basis, you may order more than one image but there may be a delay in sending all of them out.

Because the resource is offered as a free service that does not recieve any external funding, we do rely on donations to help cover the costs. In the seven years the resource has been running, it has sent out thousands of images free of charge and recieved an average of £54 per year in donations (up to 31 October 2006). This unfortunately does not even cover the annual cost of providing the website and online database.

The project does not charge for any of the images it sends out on request. A major reason why this is a free resource is that it hopes that visitors who use the site and request images will become a volunteer, take gravestone photographs and giving them to the project.
