Margaret Omond was born Margaret Nesbit was born 15 March 1816 Shetland Islands daughter of Gilbert Nesbit & Marable Herculson. Robert Omond paid the passage for her to come to Australia accompanied by his sister Agnes Omond. Robert Omond married Margaret Nesbit on the 25 August 1840 at Presbyterian Church Geelong. Margaret died on the 25 June 1855 Forest Creek Victoria and was buried on the 26 June 1855 Old Melbourne Cemetery. Robert and Margaret had 7 children.
