They had eight sons and four daughters whom they lived to see comfortably established in life. Betty was christened 9 Feb 1717/18 in Harescombe. Her maiden name was Michell (Mitchell), and her family were the Lords of the Manor of Randwick. She married William Hogg in 1737 against her parent's will.
