Born Charlotte Morrell on 12 February 1808 in Lundhouse Green, near Pannal, and baptised in St Robert's, Pannal, on 13 March 1808. She was the sixth child born to Solomon and Grace Morrell. She married John Baxter in St Wilfrid's,Calverley, on 17 July 1836, and raised a family with him in Bradford, which is where she died.
