Their son, William Tregerthen Sawle emigrated to Canada about 1871. He married Anne Jane McClung, the daughter of Samuel McClung and Jane Bailey, 28 August 1872 in Caledonia, Ontario, Canada,. They had at least nine children, In Canada he was a newspaper editor and publisher. First of the Grand River Sachem in Caledonia, then of the Brantford Telegram and finally of the Welland Telegraph. He died in Welland, Ontario 20 October 1889. One of William's grandsons is also listed on GPR – Squadron Leader C L T (Charles Leonard Tregerthen) Sawle.
