Margaret Humphreys was born Margaret Ledsham in about 1856 in Rhydymwyn, Flintshire. Her father, Hugh Ledsham, was 34, and her mother, Ann, was 33. She married Benjamin Humphreys in 1879. They had at least seven children in 17 years. She died on 21 February 1933 in Sandycroft, Flintshire, at the age of 77 (not 1935 as stated).
