War Memorial WW1 Fred Wilson is buried at the London Cemetery (headstone ref number 1.k.18) opposite High Wood on the Somme. He served in the Suffolk Regiment, 9th Battalion and is likely to have fell assaulting a German fortified trench system called the Quadrilateral near to the village of Ginchy, on the 15th September 1916 (known as the 3rd battle of the Somme).
