Coast Watcher on Tabar Island , New Ireland. Captured with Con Page on or about 20th June 1942. (Date found in a notebook owned by a Japanese officer who was present.) Be-headed by the Japanese 30 Nov. 1942 at Nago Island. NAA: A518 , DS16/2/1 Part 3. P18. Reported missing in Pacific Islands Monthly Nov 1942 (NAA A518 , DS16/2/1 Part 1 P.222). His body was exhumed and identified post war. Re-interned by the Commonwealth War Graves Commission at the Bitapaka Rabaul) War Cemetery.
