Alexander Jamieson 03 Mar 1832-08 April 1907. He was the sixth and last child of William and Helen ms Abernethy. He was born in 34 Howe Street Edinburgh. He lived in Graham Street Leith and in 1846-49, had business premises a few doors down at no 17 where he was a Wine and Tea Merchant. He set up the Jamieson Fund with his sister, Elizabeth to help blind people learn Braille and to enable them to live independently.
