Walter Dalgleish Scott son of George Scott, schoolmaster, and Jane Dalgleish born 4 Feb 1800, Minto, Roxburghshire Married 17 Dec 1829 in Saint Cuthberts, Edinburgh Newspaper agent. Died 16th December in Inveresk Among other things George was the first Scott of the firm of Robertson & Scott, Advertising Agents founded in 1819, the second advertising agency in the world. He was the sole partner by 1847 and the business stayed in the family for the next 100 years
