Eliza Elizabeth Ethersey was born on the 7th November 1809, Ipswich Suffolk. Parents Richard & Elizabeth Sharp. She was the 6th born child out of a family of 9 children. Married Henry B Saunders on the 22nd June 1835 in Madras India. Her father, Sir Richard was the Commodore of the Persian Gulf Squadron for the British Navy during the War. Her brother James, wife & children emigrated to Australia in 1853.
