30/12/1938 George Parker was born on the 5th December 1866 at Fulstow, Lincolnshire to John Samuel David Parker & Maria Rushby. His father John was killed at Algarkirk, Boston in a railway accident in 1871. George married Sarah Jane Wright at St Botolph, Boston on the 10th August 1886. They had at least 10 children by the time of the 1911 census. George was an able seaman aboard the vessel Kings Lynn on the 1891 census. They lived at Paddock Grove, Boston on the 1891 cenus before moving to Daubney Street, Cleethorpes by 1901. George's mother Maria remarried to Richard Carlton who committed suicide in 1894. Maria lived to the grand old age of 93 & died on 8th November 1938 just weeks before her son George. She was buried in Cleethorpes cemetery.
