Thomas Hoggett was landlord of the Malt Shovel Inn in New Street, Tadcaster. He kept the inn from the 1820s until his death, I believe. An Elizabeth Hoggett kept the inn before him until the 1820s. Possibly his mother, Betty, mentioned on the headstone.
