The follow note is stored against Harriet Marian Stephen record:

First wife of Sir Leslie Stephen - extract from Anny, a life of Anne Thackeray Ritchie by Henrietta Garnett: In May, Anny went with Leslie to see the newly installed headstone for Minny's grave at Kensal Green. They had chosen the flat white marble slab to be carved by Anny's friend, the sculptor Marochetti, now living in exile from France in London. He had cut the headstone in raised lettering in memory of Minny, and decorated with sprays of carved Alpine flowers. (p 193) Harriet, called Minny, was Anny's sister. The sculptor Carlo Marochetti (1805-1867), friend and neighbour of Thackeray, was dead at that time (May 1876), but his son Maurizio (1837-1916), a diplomat and a sculptor, was the one who carved the gravestone.
