When Thomas Pack was born in 1809 in Berry Pomeroy, Devon, his father, John, was 39 and his mother, Jane, was 30. He married Mary Goon and they had one son together. He then married Sarah Matthews and they had one son together. He died in March 1891 in Totnes, Devon, having lived a long life of 82 years.
