John Nutt Tyte was the father of Frances Eliza, my many great grandmother who married William Henry Crocker. They arrived in Crockersville, Mi. 1846 then moved to Oakland, Louisa Co. Iowa abt. 1850s. She is buried in the Oakland/Carpenter Cemetery Ia.Family stories talk of John being a sea captain and sailing to the spice islands for a spice co.
