Reasons why the image for this memorial was requested

Captn William Wilkie was the son of William Wilkie of Tyne House, Haddington who was one of my direst ancestors. I am doing family research.
(requested on 10 08 2011)
I am not a descendant but Captain William Wilkie died of TB, as had his son a few years before him, and he was the owner of our house 30 Greenhill Gardens from when it was built in 1856 and had passed it on to his daughter-in -law Katharine Wilkie. They both bought the organ and lectern in Christ Church Morningside.
