Reasons why the image for this memorial was requested

I am John Hurley's sister, Avril Grace Margaret Hurley (now Jones) and I arranged his funeral. I live in Surrey and am very sad to be unable to visit his grave often. For your records, he was born on 6th June 1949. He died on 13th January 1987 in a terrible road accident on the A90 Aberdeen to Forfar road. He was buried at Dean's on 23rd January amongst blooming daffodils, although his death was due to packed snow that came and went in just 24 hours. Unusually, South East England suffered prolongued, deep snow and it was more than a week before his parents and another sister were able to travel up from Kent. John has four sisters and a half sister. Sheena Gifford (1942), Anne Elizabeth (1944), Margaret (half sister, 1946), myself, Avril Grace Margaret (1957) and Toni Edith (1963). All but Toni were born in Helensburgh, Dunbartonshire, as was his mother, Jean Dunsmore Paterson (1923). His father, John Hurley (no middle names), was born on a farm near Oldham, Lancashire, in 1914. John had five great aunts, all unmarried. Four were school teachers and lived together in Prestwick, Ayrshire. The fifth was a nurse who lived in Kilmarnock if memory serves. I would be delighted to hear from anyone who is trying to trace family information and who may be able to add anything to the limited information I have.
