Reasons why the image for this memorial was requested

JAMES WHITE SYMONDS is the son of Samuel Symonds RN surgeon. SAMUEL sYMONDS married Mary WHITE in Alverstoke Mary's younger sister ESTHER WHITE married George SMITH RN surgeon and they returned to George's home in Moffat Scotland. Her father JAMES WHITE of Dover 1755-1841 came to live with them after his wife died in 1830. Accidently, but through this research. I found that Samuel Symonds & James White were the grandfathers of ALEXANDER GRAHAM BELL !! Mary White + Samuel Symonds had 5 children before Samuei died in 1818. The only girl, Eliza Grace Symonds, deaf, married Mehlville Bell. They had 3 boys. 2 died in Scotland of TB. With their third son Alexander they emigrated to Canada --for Alexander's health. So Eliza Grace was Alexander's mother. There are countless letters between Alexander and his mother on the Library of Congress site in USA. All of this info is available on Ancestry--- entered by Amanda Symonds, a young descendant of another son of Mary & Samuel Symonds who achieved great fame in Australia.

James White Symonds RN is the son of MARY WHITE [SYMONDS] whose daughter ELIZA GRACE SYMONDS [BELL} was the mother of *ALEXANDER GRAHAM BELL* !! They are cousins to me.
