Reasons why the image for this memorial was requested

Hello, I'm related to Emanuel Maskell and would very much like to add to my family history research with a high resolution image of the tile. This describes the fatal accident in which he died. Thanks and best regards, Alan Cutter

This gravestone refers to an incident in Plymouth harbour on 26th June 1880 when Ephraim Maskell was accidentally killed by a privately owned time gun on the yacht Garrion (owned by the Deputy Lord Lieutenant of Lincolnshire, Nouaille Rudge). Two subsequent inquests were reported in the Plymouth Newspapers of 2nd and 10th July 1880. This gravestone refers to Ephraim's brother Emanuell, which is clearly wrong. This is the only incident I have found in my research into British time guns and time balls pre 1890 where someone was killed. Paul
