James Raeburn (variously: Raymond; Raebon) Petrie lived in Midlothian, in 1841. He is Clarence's Grandfather. His son Lewis James Allan was born on December 10, 1857, in St Kilda, Victoria. St John and St Cuthburt Church, Edinburgh- Gravestone of Mary Ann Petrie - James' mother. This gravestone brings the Petrie and Raeburn names together. Mary Ann Petrie is said to have married 'James Raeburn'. Relevantly, 'James Raeburn Petrie' was born in 1833 (a year before Mary Ann's death). It is not known who James Petrie's parents were, but this gravestone may provide some clues.

I am a descendant of William Raeburn, who is the father of James Raeburn and the grandfather of James Scott Raeburn/Robert Reid Raeburn and John Petrie Raeburn. My name is still Raeburn and I am interested in finding out more about the Raeburn family in Edinburgh. Thank you
