Bryan Cooper
1908781830first name on monumentBryan Cooper was born in Barrow in 1829. He was the bugler for the 1st VB Lincoln Regiment local corp. in Barrow, hence the bugle on the grave stone. He played at the opening of the Pearson Park in Hull and the General Election in 1852. He owned an antique shop in Barrow called Barrow Curiosity Shop. The phrase on the grave stone saying God be with you till we met again is part of a poem he wrote. I have a newspaper article probably from the late 1800s that was written about him and I also have a copy of the poem he wrote. I have a very old grandfather clock that has Bryan Cooper, Barrow on the name plate on the face.
