Deeds of my house Marlborough House, Hyde Park Road, Knaresborough state: Henry Edgar Parkinson Ackroyd became the owner on 20 July 1909, and by his will dated 15 April 1908 appointed his brother-in-law William Simpson of Catteral Hall, Settle & Charles Bairstow of Keighley as 'Exors and Ttees'. States: Henry Edgar Parkinson Ackroyd died on 14 September 1911 without altering or revoking Will and on 15 November 1911 William Simpson & Charles Bairstow renounced Probate and by an Indenture dated 16 May 1912 between James and Jane Ackroyd of Dean House, North Bierley; William Simpson; Charles Bairstow; Charles Archimedes Muff of Lower Park House, East Bierley aforementioned Wool Merchant; William Simpson and Charles Archimedes Muff of the fifth part and Charles Bairstow disclaim all estate and interest in the Real & personal estate. Charles Archimedes Muff and William Simpson became the trustees sold the house for £690 - of which £590 went to The Halifax Permanent Building Society - on 16 July 1914 to a John and Christiana Walker. Deeds state '10 December, 1902 Copy of the Court Roll from Hardisty Lewis Metcalfe - whose gravestone is in Knaresborough, image 1017 - to Tom Chambers. 20 February, 1903 Deed of Enfranchisement 6 March, 1903 Indenture between Tom Chambers and Wm. Henry Lister Longbottom. 19 July, 1909 Indenture between William H.L. Longbottom, the vendor Albert Beldon, a Gentleman from the City of Bradford, and H.E Parkinson Ackroyd.
