Alexander Ritchie is my great great uncle. He lived with his sister Martha Spittal née Ritchie. Martha Spittal immigrated to Canada in 1924 with all of her adult children upon the accidental death of her husband David Spittal. The family lived in woodbine cottage in Cardenden. Alexander Ritchie remained in Scotland until his death
