The full text is: Sacred to the memory of Alexander Thomson of Glororum son of James Thomson Esq of Earnslaw Berwickshire He died Oct 8th 1830 aged 37 Janet Turnbull his wife died at Dunse March 4th 1867 aged 72 Douglas son of the above died Oct 21st 1830 aged 3 months James eldest son of the above lost at sea Nov 25th 1845 aged 28

Reasons why the image for this memorial was requested

I am interested in John Thomson, second son of Alexander, who became Surveyor General of New Zealand. I do talks about his life so an image to use with powerpoint would be wonderful to have. John Thomson painted this gravestone in 1878, the painting is in the University of Otago. Thank you in anticipation.
