Reasons why the image for this memorial was requested

John William Bell is my paternal grandfather. He died at an early age as did my father and I'm now researching our family tree. John William Bell was born into poverty in rural Lincolnshire, moved to Derbyshire to work on the railways, was wounded twice in the First World War serving with the Sherwood Foresters, educated himself, then had a long career for the Great Central Railway and served as a Councillor on Grimsby Borough Council for 10 years championing children's welfare and education issues. He deserves to be remembered with pride.

A Phyllis May Bell, née Cartlidge, was a cousin of mine and I'm looking to either confirm or refute that this person is her for my family tree. If it is her, then she was born in 1892, not 1903.
