Hi, I wondered if you were aware that there is a memorial inside the church, inscribed as follows:- [Wall in the Choir] To the Glory of God and in loving memory of / ROBERT WILLIAM PARMETER / (died September 26th / 1880) / and of / SOPHIA PARMETER / his wife (died May 11th / 1881 ) / who for upwards of 50 years were worshippers together in this church and partakers in its Holy services their daughter by permission of the Vicar and Churchwardens has presented a arming apparatus the more effectually during the inclement season of the year to provide for the comfort of the congregations assembling here and to serve both as a record of her filial affection and as an offering of the parish of a gift which may always be associated with the names of her beloved parents
