Reasons why the image for this memorial was requested

The Revd Tobias Browne (with an 'e') is my great-great-great-great-grandfather. According to my records, he married a Mrs Elizabeth Hill. I don't have her maiden name and would be keen to trace her earlier ancestry. I am descended through the fourth of their five sons, Tobias. My great-grandfather Pemble Browne, son of London surgeon Tobias Browne, emigrated to NZ in 1878. My Puckey family emigrated to NZ via Tahiti with the first English mission (LMS) to the Pacific in 1796. I am an active member of the Anglican Church in NZ and have just co-edited a book for the bicentenary of the proclamation of the Gospel and the start of the CMS mission in this country in 1814. This will be launched in May with the Title: Te Rongopai 1814 Takoto Te Pai. I have a PhD in history. One of my next writing projects will be a biography of the family member who went to Tahiti, based on his handwritten diary of 1796-97. It is nice to connect members of my ancestral families who have been ordained members of the church. This image will contribute to my knowledge of this part of the family, and, with your permission, might warrant inclusion in some future small publication. It is difficult to see how I might help your project from this distance, but if any of my family information would be of use, please let me know. Kind regards Adrienne
