Reasons why the image for this memorial was requested

Relative. My paternal grandfather and grandmother came from Lineholt (Ombersley). My gradmother was Mary Underwood. Her youngest sister was Elsie Underwood who married Fred Windle. I live now in Lancashire but have visited surviving realtives in Lineholt regularly as I did with my father when I lived with my parents in Walsall. Unfortunately I am in Ombersley on Wednesday of this week at the funeral of my last relative who lived in the hamlet, Beryl Underwood whose father was Cecil Underwood, brother to Elsie Windle. I have known of the Castlemorton connection with my family for many years but, as you do, I never got the whole story from my father before he died 30 years ago. He was John Henry Taylor (Harry) and was the nephew of Elsie. He told me a story of bumping into A Windle at the Rye Cross garage Berrow and I am aware, that I have second cousins in the area. Today, I thought I would do some searching and found your web site. Best wishes John Taylor ( Hesketh Bank, Preston, Lancashire)
