The family are ancestors on my fathers side and I have recently tracked down the war records and burial details of the sons. It would be lovely to have a picture of the grave as part of the memories.

Col Charles William Pantone barker is my fathers great grandfather, his grandfather was John Hugh Barker who is not on the memorial as he survived WW1whilst fighting in the Canadian army. Myself and my daughter are researching my fathers side of the family and also the 5 barker brothers who were all at Ypres in WW1( 2 were in Canada at the start of the war and joined the Canadian army), as my daughter is going over to Ypres in December with school and wanted to find out if any of the brothers died at the Somme and were remembered at the memorials. Many thanks Jo

As an extension to the Singapore Cenotaph Project we are adding information of men buried at Kranji during WW1 to the Imperial War Museum's Lives of the First World War.
