Reasons why the image for this memorial was requested

NZ Birth Index: Name: Maxwell Young Watson Birth Date: Apr-May-Jun 1890 Birth Place: Wairau, New Zealand Mother: Margaret Margery Father: George Henry Folio Number: 1565/6819 The birth index shows the name of Maxwell Young WATSON, and on his Service Records he mostly appears as William Young WATSON, 1647, 2nd Bn, Australian Infantry A.I.F. who died of wounds in France on the 20th September 1918. He was the son of George Henry and Margaret Margery Watson of Renwicktown. It is puzzling both a cousin and myself that on his mother's headstone he is William G. WATSON The photo that appeared in the Weekly News also had him named as Private W.G. WATSON of Wellington, died of wounds. I would like to see a photo of his mother's headstone to confirm what is written on it thank you.
