Reasons why the image for this memorial was requested

'William Twysden' looks like the chap who is my 8th gt-grandfather living from 11 Dec 1635 to 17 Nov 1697. I even have a picture of him, a copy made by his widow around 1700 when she left the family seat, and copied from the original by Peter Lely. The Lely was last heard of in c.1840 and was subsequently sold and is now lost.
