Reasons why the image for this memorial was requested

Thomas Hope Formby was the husband of my second cousin Kathleen Ailsa Formby (nee Ross). I am researching the Potter Family history, of whom Kathleen is a descendant. Sadly, they were only married a year before Thomas's death and his daughter, Angela was born after his death. I am also compiling a list of War dead in my tree, to enable me to visit the memorials at the Alrewas Aboretum. Regards Carolyn Wood, Stoke-on-Trent.

I am researching all of the 876 officers and men from the Cambridgeshire Regiment who died in the 1st World War. Then as a group of British Legion Riders we visit every grave and memorial and place a personnelized poppy cross on each one. Thank you for the work you do Christine Green
