I'm writing a family history and this is my Mother Angela de Beers grandfather. She is 98 and has a fascinating family history which I'm researching for her . I would be very grateful for your help. Jane Trotman

Josephus' brother Baruch migrated to Scotland originally. He married there, had several children & then from there the family migrated to Staten Island, NY, USA. Staten Island is one of the 5 boroughs of New York City. On Staten Island, Baruch's son Samuel married my gr-grandmother's sister Bertha. With the name De Beer, usually associated w/diamonds, I've always been curious abt. the De Beer branch in my tree & if, perhaps, these De Beers were associated w/the diamond De Beers so I've decided to satisfy that curiosity.
