Reasons why the image for this memorial was requested

James Howard was my 1st cousin 4x removed. John William Howard was his son and Louisa was his daughter in law. John was also the first husband of Naomi (nee Broughton). I believe that after James' death Naomi married his widowed brother Robert under C of E dispensation several decades before English statute law legalised this. This is best evidence I have found of their dates of death and their burials.

James Howard was my paternal grandfather I am amazed to find these details on your website and very excited. I was born in Leeds but knew nothing of my Howard relatives as there were no other living relations. My father was Harold Stanley Howard, James' grandson
