Reasons why the image for this memorial was requested

I gather that my great great grandfather, Robert, born illegitimately in 1793 to Elizabeth Green, was named Robert Deeves at his baptism in 1795. Baptised at the same time was his younger brother, John. Ceremony took place in Ardleigh, Essex. Parents were Elizabeth (nee Green) and Robert Deeves, a local Miller. Robert and Elizabeth married very soon after, in the same year, 1793. We gather that Robert was the biological father of our Robert Green. Our Robert Green (1793-1857) we deduce changed his baptismal surname from Deeves, back to Green. I surmise that he, young Robert, had umbrage towards Robert Deeves perhaps because he felt resentment that the was born out of wedlock. Maybe he learnt that Robert Deeves, the Miller, was not actually his natural father. We just don't know. I have not had any DNA work done as yet.
