Reasons why the image for this memorial was requested

Charles Farrar Forster was my great-great uncle & was, as your description says, the first Vicar of Beckwithshaw, near Harrogate. I visited the church in 2005 with my father (Reginald Kenneth Forster, now 97) & we saw the brass plate which records that CFF was vicar from the time the church opened (c 1886) until he died. CFF was born in 1848 (I don't know the exact date) & died in Christchurch (then in Hampshire, now in Dorset), 28 August 1894. You may perhaps wish to amend the dates shown on your listing, which were probably based on a gravestone that was difficult to read. Thank you for (a) posting the image (b) locating CFF's gravestone for me. I knew he couldn't be buried at Beckwithshaw [it has, as I recall, no cemetery] but had rather assumed he was buried in Christchurch. I was, by the way, born in Harrogate, lived there & in the nearby village of Huby until the age of 4, & now live in the village of Braunston, Northamptonshire.
