Reasons why the image for this memorial was requested

I am researching my elderly mother-in-law's family tree. She is a direct descendant of Mary Dickson nee Crichton and her husband John Dickson. John Dickson's building company was declared bankrupt during his contract to build the Royal High School in Edinburgh. Mary Crichton is the sister of Richard Crichton, one of the two architects who designed the Bank of Scotland on the Mound. I would very much any assistance your help.
