Reasons why the image for this memorial was requested

I am the eldest grandchild of William Percival and Isobel Marian Shepherd He was the first elected labour councilor of the Borough of Thornaby-on-Tees. He was later mayor of the town and political agent for the the Stockton constituency and played a large part in the defeat of Harold Macmillan, who had held the seat from the 1920s until the election of 1945. I have ticked the potential cousins box even though I am in contact with all their grandchildren.
