Reasons why the image for this memorial was requested

Possible ancestors. John McIntyre , the first name on monument, was a draper originally from Argyll who lived at/near Edinburgh, hence buried Greyfriars. (I was given this info by an Alan MacLeod Scottish genealogist) John McIntyre's family members worked with fabrics and were drapers and tailors. My ancestor Duncan McIntyre was born in Edinburgh about 1806 - 1812 and was a draper in Glasgow but census gives Edinburgh as his place of birth. Duncan was possibly the son of the Daniel McIntyre who was the nephew of John McIntyre. Hard to read records say Dun or Dan was his father, so there might be a connection to the John McIntyre and others named on this monument at Greyfriars. Thank you.
