Reasons why the image for this memorial was requested

Hello, I have researched all the members of the VINGOE family from 1545 + and all the information is on a Vingoe name website.This is possible a member of that family with the name mis-transcribed. I am not sure who would have travelled so far from their home parish of Sennen in Cornwall at this early date! Its possible he was in the Customs Service or a Mariner. I believe I have catalogued all persons born with the Vingoe surname recorded in parish records from 1695 onwards. The name was indigenous to Cornwall. This Elizabeth & John I have not been able to identify. Perhaps there is a clue hidden in this picture. Shame I cant make a trip to the grave site due to ill health. I am a Vingoe by birth and descend from the Sennen family line. There was a line of Johns but this early I have found no marriage to an Elizabeth as the records before 1695 were destroyed/lost.
