Please note that all ages and dates of birth in red have been calculated and are probably not on the monument.

The calculated dates of birth should be treated with caution as in many cases it can be one year out.

The calculated dates of birth should also be treated with caution as the ages given on monuments are often inaccurate.

The names above are all the names that are listed on the grave monument. It is most likely that only the entries with dates and ages are interred in the grave.

I am searching for my Great Grandfather John Dewar Born in 1870 or there about. His wife was Agnes Edmond. I have no knowledge of family past my great grandparents. I can not find them in Ancestry.com. I am hoping the dates on it correspond with what I have. My grandfather was John Wishart Dewar, born in 1903 but was kicked out by the family when he married my grandmother who was 20 years his junior. This is all the info I have! I am pulling at strings now. Thank you for your time, Cathleen
Relatives of mine.
Genealogical research into my Wardlaw roots
John Wardlaw is 3 x great grandfather of my husband David Wardlaw
Husband family ancestry
More family tree thanks for the last one but it wasnt the right one☹️
John Dewar is my 6th Great Grandfather on my fathers side. Your information has been very useful in clearing up the complex web of my Dalkeith ancestors. Thank you for posting it
