John Boyle Scriven grave monument in Lawnswood VW Cemetery, Leeds, Yorkshire, England

I do believe this is my grandmother and grandfather. My mother was Dorothy Darragh Scriven. From what I understand from a recently discovered newspaper article reciting her marrage to my father, HER father's name was John Boyle Scriven. Her stories told me that her mother died in childbirth with her and her father died when she was an infant, she never knew her parents and was raised by aunts and uncles - who apprently owned a shipyard outfitting chandlery. These death dates and the names, along with the fact that she was from Leeds, seem to clarify that these ARE my grandparents! This is very exciting for me and I do want to help you. I've never been to England but am planning a trip in the next few years. My mother died in 1998 and my father just passed in February. I want to know more about who and where I came from! I know how hard your work must be and that you do it for the love of what you do is pretty incredible. That there is even a picture of Leeds make my heart beat faster. My mother rarely talked about her childhood, so now I want to try to put it all together. My aunt, Molley Wiles (previously Scriven as well, my mom's sister) stayed in England, along with her brother Ronald Charles Scriven, apparently a well known published author. Molley had one child Lindybeth Wiles and she had one son, I don't know remember his name. Molley died, but I think Lindybeth is still alive, I just have no way of finding her (she would be my cousin). There was another brother Nevil Scrivin, also passed. I think as children they were all split up after the parents deaths. Molley and my Mom Darragh (also known as DeeDee) were sent to boarding school. I don't know the aunts and uncles names. But the ships chandlery was called Scriven..I do believe. Can you help me find out more or tell me where I should look? I am SO excited I found your site...I can't even tell you. I feel like i am waking my own personal history here! Thank you for my own etching..but also for all the thousands that you do. What amazing work!
