I was one of the children who was taken care of by 'Aunt Hester' as we called her in the Langford Cross Children's Home and she brought me up. We all loved her and I would like to find out as much as possible about her background life and circumstances. Thanks

My father was a Jewish refugee from Austria and was allowed to travel to England in 1938, aged 7, as Aunt Hester was his sponsor. He lived at Langford Cross and his mother worked there in the kitchen. He considered Aunt Hester saved their lives and always spoke fondly of her, she attend his wedding in 1955 and he kept in touch until she sadly died in 1984. I have been doing some research into my fathers childhood and am interested to find out as much as possible about Aunt Hester.
