Reasons why the image for this memorial was requested

I am looking for information about my great great grandparents on my mother’s side. They were all born in Scotland and I would love to be able to give her more history on them and more if I could. She and my grandmother visited once but had no idea how to look anything up at the time. I want to visit one day too. I feel a very strong pull to Scotland, for goodness sakes I cry every time I hear the bagpipes play. I know I have a great great great grandfather who played in the Royal Scots. I have part of his uniform under glass. Thank you for the help.

Descendent of Euphemia Brown

I believe Euphemia Brown may be my 3x Ggrandmother

I have a DNA link with someone whose ancestors are this Brown family so I've building the tree to try to pinpoint where we have common ancestors. I have seen other photos of this headstone but the inscription below Grace Brown's name isn't clear. It refers to Janet Skinner. I have seen a transcription that states she is the wife of James Brown, but I think this is wrong. I expected it to be John Brown. So I want to confirm the name of Janet's husband.
