Reasons why the image for this memorial was requested

George Gordon Lucas was the son of Charles William Lucas by his 2nd wife Esther nee Hardy, and they are part of my ancestral family. My paternal grandmother was Leley Lucas, a cousin. On a family tree I looked at, George Gordon was said to have died in 1937, but I could find nothing on him after a 1914 Blenheim electoral roll, where he is listed as a Boot Repairer, probably for his older half brother William Charles Lucas who was a Bootmaker in Blenheim. I decided to google his name to see what came up and this did! Obviously a WW1 death? Thank you for this site and service,I would have ticked yes to help but unsure how I can; please advise.
