Reasons why the image for this memorial was requested

family history research
(requested on 05 09 2012)
Greetings from Australia. The reason I'm requesting an image is because Robert Clark d.1863 was my great, great, great grandfather. His son Robert McGavin Clark lived in New Zealand and he was visiting Edinburgh when he died in 1877. Your website has been an enormous help in putting together part of a family tree for which we have scant information. So even without the image, I am most grateful. regards Sue Martin

Robert McGavin Clark is my Great, great grandfather. I am currently undertaking a journey in my family tree. My Aunty is researching the Clark family also. I'm really enjoying my family history. We know Robert McGavin Clark went back to Scotland- not certain of the reason - and sadly passed away, very young too. Do not have information on his parents Robert & Margaret. Thank you for taking the time - what you do is greatly appreciated. Kind Regards Michelle Le Sueur
