He was baptised on the 16th of Octobr 1819 at Duddingston, Midlothian, Scotland. He married Martha Jemima Waters in 1863 at London, England. He died on the 9th of April 1893 at The Shrubbury, Erith, Kent, He was one of the earliest Australian Settlers.
