Reasons why the image for this memorial was requested

I have been looking for many years for my great Grandfather, John Henry Davey b. abt 1861 in a small town in England. He is supposed to have run away from home at the age of 14 years and joined a circus. This is the way he is reported as arriving in Australia according to his family. The old letter written by his second wife is difficult to read and I have not been able to decipher the name of the town. It does name his mother as a Miss Bennett with brothers. This is the first positive lead I have found outside of Australia and I am very excited that it seems to be a positive find. I probably cannot asist with transcriptions of gravestones in England as I am in Western Australia but am happy to assit if there is any Australian information you need. I look forward to your reply with great anticipation. thank you so much for you generous assistance to other family reseachers. kind regards Catherine McLernon Geraldton Western Australia
