Reasons why the image for this memorial was requested

Hi, I am searching for any information on Thomas, Jean and William Murray and wonder if these may be our Thomas and family. So far they have been very elusive however have recently found that Hugh Murray lived at Calton and was the son of a Thomas and Jean Tindall/Tindale and brother of William. A photograph to add to my meagre records could help. I live on the Sunshine Coast, Queensland, Australia and am willing to help anyone searching this part of the world as we have an excellent genealogy society. You may have received an additional request from me as my internet is playing up!! cheers Diana

I am looking to find a brother of my 4 x great grandfather, Hugh Murray, who had two elder brothers, viz. Thomas and William, and a sister, Isabella. I understand that They were an Edinburgh family. Hugh's tombstone is in Canongate Church Yard.

My family research of the Murrays has found a headstone of the father of these Murrays. Hugh Murray's headstone is in the Canongate Kirk. This headstone has fallen over and we are in the process of putting it upright. Many thanks for this service. I live in Tasmania,Australia and appreciate this wonderful work that you do. Signed George Hugh Murray.
